THE BIBLE- we believe the Bible is the very word of God. It is inspired by God in both the old and New Testaments. It has the answers for eternity and life in this world.
THE BLOOD- We believe that the blood(Sacrifce of Christ on the cross) paid for the sins of the world. The Bible says without the shedding of blood their is no forgivenesss of sins (Hebrews 9:22). Jesus paid the debt of our sin so that we could be forgiven.
THE NEW BIRTH- We believe that "except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3. Anyone trusting in Christ alone as his personal savior, realizing Jesus died for his sin on the cross and rose again from the dead is a child of God.
THE BLESSED HOPE- We beleive that Jesus is coming again. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. We are assured that one day Jesus will come agian to take His Bride, the church to heaven. "And now, little children, abide in Him; that, when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming." 1 John 2:28.
THE BALANCED LIFE-We beleive the Christian life is one of balance. Ephesians 4:15 tells us that we are to"speak the truth in love, that we may grow up into him in all things." If we are only concerned with truth it leads to legalism. If we are only concerned with love it leads to a licentious lifestyle. The Bible says that we need a balance of both truth and love in our lives so as to grow into maturity as a Christian. We desire to teach that BALANCE to God's children .
In John 10:10 Jesus said that he had come to gives us life and a life that is abundant! "I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly"
Many Christians are missing the joyful life that Jesus promised we could have as we follow Him. Our goal at Vance Bible Church is to help Christians zero in on that wonderful truth that Jesus has offered to us. Maybe you would lie to join us in this GREAT ADVENTURE!
